What do you get the man who has everything or wants nothing? I struggle with what gift to give my husband every holiday. If I ask him what he wants I get “I know what I want” with a wink and a little man handling. I should be thrilled. After ten years of marriage the man still wants me but ten years of watching him open boring golf shirts or finding socks in his stocking has gotten a bit old especially since he never fails at buying me great gifts. He bought me plastic surgery last Christmas so now it’s my turn to knock his socks off with something other than a good romp in the hay.
I have found just the gift. The Dale Jarrett Racing School would be perfect to wow my guy and the racing fan in your life and give the gift of full throttle living. Whether he’s a racing fan of Nextell Cup Racing, a race car enthusiast or an all out thrill seeker, you’ll find all levels of racing school programs to meet his need for speed and an authentic racing experience!I can’t tell you how many times my husband has been at a stoplight next to another testosterone exuding driver and giving each other the my-car-is-faster-than-yours look. The light turns green and my hubby floors it past his competitor only to have me burst his bubble by yelling SLOW DOWN! With a race package from the Dale Jarrett Racing School he can have the excitement of racing AND my approval.
They offer several racing packages to fit any budget. I was pleasantly surprised at how
affordable the programs are. A 3 lap ride is only $150 and they go up from there with a maximum of 80 laps. Rather than a golfing weekend with the boys you can send your man and his friends to Talledega, Alabama for an experience they will talk about year long. It’s the gift that keeps giving. If you are unsure which race package to purchase then a gift certificate is a great option. You can choose a racing package at the Talladega SuperSpeedway for up to a 60 lap ride or for the other tracks like the Lowe’s MotorSpeedway, Kansas Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, or Atlanta MotorSpeedway for up to an 80 lap ride.
The Dale Jarrett Racing School is the first ever racing school at the Talladega SuperSpeedway. It is also the first ever racing school at Speedways like the the Darlington Speedway and Bristol MotorSpeedway. He will be the envy of all his friends!Give your man the thrill of a lifetime that he can’t get in the bedroom and that will knock his brand new socks off his feet. The Dale Jarret Racing School experience is the perfect gift to WOW your man! You can thank me later.

Baby Jamz Cell Phone Giveaway

Mathew and Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s father and sister) have launched a super cute, totally hip new toy line just in time for the holiday season.Baby Jamz are the first ever hip-hop/rhythm inspired musical toy line that promotes learning, creativity, and movement through music. Their toy line consists of a Baby Jamz Cell Phone, Dance Mat, Key Chain, Boom Box Shape Sorter, and Mix Master Chair.
I personally own the Baby Jamz Cell Phone and Baby Jamz Key Chain. My two year old loves them both. What I like about this new toy line is its modern twist of classic nursery rhymes. My daughter seems to prefer the upbeat version as much as I do.
Baby Jamz are fun, durable, and affordable. They are available exclusively at Wal-Mart stores and Walmart.com.
I’m giving away a Baby Jamz Cell Phone to one lucky winner. Leave a comment on this post to be entered in the giveaway. A winner will be randomly chosen on Wednesday, December 26 at 11:59 PM.
Congrats to Marly who won this giveaway. A big thank you to all who entered.

Thrifty Tuesday Fabulous Find
Filed Under Thrifty Tuesday, Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
If you are like me, you have yet to even begin holiday shopping. I have been so busy wrapping and packing up my customers orders, I have neglected my own gift list. Thankfully, the mad holiday rush is just about over! Today’s thrifty find is for all the last minute shoppers looking for a great gift at a fab price. I found great baby gifts at Tropical Baby Boutique. You can find a page of gifts all for under $20! I thought the Kammi Teething Doll was a great idea for teething babies and now on sale for only $15.99. When baby is teething, you dampen 1-4 knots of the arms and legs of the teething doll, then freeze it for 15 minutes. It’s ready for baby to chew on now! We know how babies love to chew on just about anything and this baby teething toy serves a dual purpose of being a doll they can carry around and when baby’s having tooth pain, they can chew away! Since this baby teething toy is a terrycloth doll, it also cleans easily. You can just throw it into the wash with like colored items (especially towels) and tumble dry. I can vividly remember those days of trying to pacify a irritable toddler with erupting molars….frozen pretzels, gum ointment, Tylenol, more Tylenol, prayer, etc. You name it- I tried it. If you have a cranky baby on your hands, this is a godsend!Tropical Baby Boutique has quite a few great finds to choose from- I found a brocade diaper bag for only $17.99, an adoption bracelet and nursing necklace for $19.99 and a huge selection of groovy tie dye tees/onesies all under $15. Happy Bargain Shopping!

I swear I was not paid for this glowing endorsement- heck I am about to rave about someone who technically is my competition.!That just shows how much I admire these ladies. I feel it is important to note that no money was exchanged for this posting. My praise comes from my own personal experience. So, I can be quite flighty when it comes to keeping track of my inventory (just ask my sis who has heard quite a few stories about my shock at finding I really do not have any more bla bla dolls. Really? I swear I had one more……didn’t I?”). One of my regular (meaning repeat and one who graciously refers me to everyone) ordered these really cute hand knitted cupcakes. I emailed me her to tell her all was in stock and they would ship the next day. As I am packing up her order, Icannot find any more of the cupcakes. I really thought I had one left. See the problem is I also sell on amazon.com and this messes up my inventory count. Sure enough- I looked up my orders on amazon and I sold the last one a few weeks previously (the manufacturer was also out of stock). I just could not bring myself to tell my customer I had none left. So what did I do? I googled Yellow Label Kids handknitted cupcakes and came up with this store- Two Blue Peas. I was so relieved to see they had some in stock- which I promptly ordered. Yes, I had to pay retail plus shipping, but I could breathe easier knowing I came through for my customer. I have discovered that finding customers can be a challenge and once you have a loyal one, you want to hang on to them desperately (quite honestly, referrals are a huge source of business for me). Now I just had to hope that Two Blue Peas would quickly ship my order. You know how some stores require 3-4 business days for “processing”? By the way, what exactly are they “processing”? Literally, 30 minutes after I placed my order, I received a shipping notice. My package was on it’s way! Amazing- that is super quick service! My order arrived a few days later nicely wrapped. Completely professional.
After browsing, I found more to like about the 2 Blue Peas website. Their site is crisp, clean and uncluttered. It is easy to find what you are looking for and their offerings are not overwhelming. I really do not like shopping at sites with 50+ pages of clothing (or some other category) that I have to look through. Reading through their about me page, I detected bits of humor and am fairly sure the owners, Sarah and Helen don’t take themselves too seriously and are really having fun with their endeavor. I enjoyed reading their blog as it gave some insight into who the people are behind this business. They seem like 2 cool women I would hanging out with . Helen and Sara, thank you so much for helping me keep one of my customers happy! Best of luck to you both. Oh-they still have the really cute cupcakes in stock ( sadly, I am still out of stock).

Discovery Kids Tornado Lab rocks!
Filed Under educational toys | Leave a Comment

We live in the Midwest where tornadoes are abundant. My kids are very curious about and afraid of tornadoes so when Parent Bloggers Network offered The Discovery Extreme Weather Tornado Lab I signed right up.The Tornado lab has been a huge hit at our house. The hands on learning of the cause and effects of tornadoes helped alleviate some of my kids’ fears. They learned that based on the hills and valleys around our home that the likelihood of a tornado hitting our street is pretty slim.
My nine year old daughter shared the tornado lab with her classroom. Her teacher was so impressed with her demonstration that she had my daughter give a demo in each of the younger grades. The tornado sound effects really wowed the preschoolers.
The Tornado Lab includes a battery operated tornado machine that has a dial for the 5 different tornado forces and a dial with real tornado sound effects. The see-through lid also gives another perspective of what the center of a tornado looks like. Foam pellets and plastic beads are also included to show how objects travel differently in a tornado based on their size and weight.
The unit is quite durable because it has survived my kid’s other experiments such as dropping in Goldfish crackers, beads, and M&Ms. We never could get the food coloring experiment to work like it should although it was a great experiment for learning that the colors red and blue make purple.
The Raging Planet DVD that came with the Tornado Lab was also a big hit. They watched the DVD quite a bit over a two week period. The DVD includes interesting information about tornadoes and hurricanes. We are hoping that a hurricane lab is in development.
Overall, the Tornado Lab is a great learning toy that is fun and interesting for kids AND parents. My kids will be the first to tell you that most learning toys are bor-iiing so their seal of approval for The Tornado Lab says a lot. I’ve gotten a big kick out of what a tornado expert my 6 year old son has become. He talks about F5 tornadoes with the skills of a weatherman!
The Discovery Extreme Weather Tornado Lab is such a hot toy that it is backordered until February. Order yours now! Retails for $29.95.

Thrifty Tuesday Fabulous Find
Filed Under Thrifty Tuesday, Uncategorized | 1 Comment
I have a little secret that I should keep to myself, but it is just too good to stay quiet. As a baby boutique owner, I am always searching for unique quality products and lately I have discovered the jackpot for great baby finds. What is it? Simply……etsy.com. A website chock full of hand made products. And not what you may think. Sometimes handmade has the connotation of being well…..hand made-knitted blankets, pasted on pieces, cheap fabrics, etc. But not on Etsy! I can say that truly after having ordered several pieces from different sellers. I have found the quality to be far superior to mass produced items. So much so that I carry several Etsy designed lines in my boutique. The attention to detail and quality is exceptional. Best of all, the products are offered at great prices. If you are looking for a unique holiday gift and do not want to give something found at mass merchandise stores, look no further than Etsy. I promise you will find something great at a terrific price. Here are 2 fabulous finds: polka dot burp cloth set offered by DesignsbyNana and the baby skin product gift set is by seller Baby Breaux. I was actually sent samples from Baby Breaux and loved the products- they are all natural and yummy smelling. No chemicals! The gift set includes the following: Baby Pudding Creme, Bottom Pop Diaper Balm, Honey Lavender Lotion, Baby Frosting Soap, Tub Tart Bath Fizzies. A great gift for a new mom and only $16.50 for the set.Dec

Learn to use HP A626 Photosmart Printer & Photobook in 40 seconds
Filed Under video review | 3 Comments
Why tell you how easy and fun the HP A626 Photosmart Compact Printer and Photobooks are when I can show you? Here’s a video to show you how to use the printer and Photobooks in 40 seconds.
Pros of the HP A626 Photosmart Compact Printer:
- Easy to set up and use
- Add creative touches with the color touch screen
- Remove red eye, enhance images, and make yourself look thinner
- Entertains older kids (Mine had a blast drawing mustaches on photos of me)
- Easy to view and navigate menus
- Prints directly from a memory card or a PC
- Small and portable
- Print photos in a flash
- Prints very nice quality photos
- Affordable
- Includes introductory ink cartridge and paper
Cons of the HP A626 Photosmart Compact Printer
- USB cable for printing from a PC needs to be purchased separately
- Cannot save photos
- When creating an album a different photo than what’s in album cannot be used for the cover page (or I just couldn’t figure out how to change it)
- Photos print darker than on screen
I was impressed with the quality of the photos and the Photobooks are very nice. A photobook is a quick and easy personal gift to give. I created a 5×7 Photobook in under an hour. Editing software and glossy photo paper is included with the Photobooks. The higher quality Vivera ink and the glossy HP paper create better quality photos that the standard inks and photo papers. The editing software is perfect for the novice scrapbooker or to create a quick Photobook. The clipart and layouts are very nice with many to choose from. What I didn’t like is that I was limited on what customization I could do on my Photobook.
Overall the printer and Photobooks are well worth the money. I love how light and portable the printer is and I plan on bringing it to my daughter’s next dance competition so we can print photos on the spot.
*You can receive 20% off Photo Books at the HP store
*Check Sunday circulars for specials on the printer itself - various retailers are running themThank you Parent Bloggers Network for the opportunity to review the HP printer and Photobooks!
