Oopsie Dazie: Clips so cute you’ll buy outfits to match!
Filed Under accessories, for baby, gifts | 1 Comment
I have always loved accessorizing my daughters’ outfits with matching head bows and clips. Now that I have a curly red headed daughter bows and clips have become a necessity to keep her unruly hair in place.I feel that raising three hair bow wearing girls has earned me the title of Hair Accessory Connoisseur. I have learned that alligator clips and headbands are best. Bows that are attached to barrettes or clips that require two hands to put in and out snag and tangle hair. All it takes is one painful hair bow removal for your two year old to refuse ever wearing anything in her hair again. Save those types of hair bows for when your daughter is a little older!
I recently received some clips and a headband from Oopsie Dazie. The professional packaging and superb quality of what I’ve received has earned my seal of approval. Best of all, their prices are very affordable. Who wants to spend $12 on a bow that may end up lost or is only needed for a special occasion outfit? Oopsie Dazie clips are only $2 and bows are $3-$4. You can stock up on enough bows to match every outfit.
Finding the perfect clip to match an outfit is easy with Oopsie Dazie because of their large assortment of ribbon to choose from. You also can choose to embellish your clips with gems, buttons, or flower. The construction of the clips is very secure and professionally crafted. I like how the entire alligator clip is covered with ribbon so no metal is showing.
If your baby girl doesn’t have enough hair then Oopsie Dazie offers stretchy knit headbands to attach clips and bows. The headband is only $1.50 so you can afford to buy one in every color!Oopsie Dazie offers so many options that it is easy to create one of a kind clips, pony holders, or headbands. I especially love the trendy and fun fabrics they offer for their pony holders. They are truly unique pony holders.
Head over to Oopsie Dazie and let us know what you think.

Vincent Shoes review
Filed Under apparel, shoes | 2 Comments
I admit it. I’m a shoe snob. Not so much about my own shoes although I do own a pair of Jimmy Choos that I covet but about my kids shoes. I love Target knock-offs but when it comes to shoes I’ve learned that it’s best to go with the best. Their shoes don’t hold up that well and the three pairs of Target tennies I bought last fall for one child cost me more than one pair of good shoes.
This is why I love Vincent shoes. They are a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Not only are they durable but also very adorable.
Vincent Shoes came to fruition when a Swede and his partner couldn’t find a suitable shoe to gift his nephew, Vincent. They started designing their own shoes and within a year they opened a store in Stockholm. Nearly ten years later they are still designing fun, fashionable, and functional children’s shoes. I have bought several pairs of European shoes for my kids over the years and I have always been impressed by their quality and durability.
Recently I received two pairs of Vincent Shoes to review. The Rolf style in pink for my eight year old daughter …
andanddddddddddddddddddddd
and Orvar in blue for my two year old daughter. They both LOVE their Vincent Shoes.I asked my eight year old to share what she loves best about her Rolf shoes. She very enthusiastically replied that she loves the colors, especially the pink and that all her friends want a pair just like them. She loves that they are easy to put on and take off because of the stretchy elastic on the sides. She also loves how the bumps on the bottom keep her from slipping and she most definitely runs faster when she’s wearing them.
She could sell shoes!
My two year old is too young to tell me how much she loves her Orvar smiley face shoes but her wearing them to bed the first week is a pretty good indicator that she likes them a lot. I love them too! I’ve always been a big fan of Swedish clogs not only because I like the look of them but also because of how easy a toddler can put them on and off. If you are a mom of a toddler you know that toddlers like to put shoes on “all by myself”.
The Orvar clog boasts:
- All-leather upper
- Real-wood platform with thin rubber sole for traction
- Decorative silver rivets for a retro look
The smiley face is quite charming and she received compliments on them everywhere we went. It’s hard to be in a bad mood with such happy looking shoes.
Both pairs of shoes have been worn daily since we received them a month ago and they both still look new. The Orvar clog cleans up easily with a damp cloth and I washed the Rolf pair in the washer after an accidental step in a mud puddle. You would have thought she had hurt herself with how my eight year old overreacted about her muddy shoe. Thankfully they came out of the washer looking new again. Machine washing is not recommended but luckily the shoes and I survived the mud puddle ordeal.
Vincent Shoes are in European sizes but their shoe fitter guide, an intuitive and innovative online shoe sizing system acts as almost a personal shoe fitter so you can feel confidant in your shoe size selection.
All Lipstick to Crayons readers can take advantage of 20% OFF coupon code “SPRING-DEAL-8″ that is “valid for all full-price item purchases at www.VincentShoeStore.us through April 30, 2008 and free shipping for orders over $75.

You know Guy Kawasaki. The guy with the Golden Touch, anything he touches turns to gold. That’s how it seems to me anyway but Guy corrected me. It’s actually; Whatever is gold, Guy touches. Gotta love him, he’s so humble!
Well, he touched us!
I received an email from Guy (we are on a first name basis now) today informing us that Lipstick to Crayons was added to Alltop’s shopping page.
Go check it out! We are four down from Cool Mom Picks. That’s right, peeps. We are big time. At least Guy thinks we are.
It means that Guy thinks we are super cool fashionistas who know a thing or two about what is hip and trendy for moms and tots.

As the mom of a very active, “hands on” playful 5 year old, I was thrilled to receive 2 new products from K’nex integrated construction systems. My eager 5 year old was anxious to get started to review the products. What better way to give an honest and straight forward review than to have a 5 year old boy play with them as designed? The K’nex Cool Construction is the newest set in the 10-model building set series. I really liked that this one product (as all 10 model sets) could be recreated into 10 very different models. Great for imagination and to prevent boredom with this one item. A big concern for me as I dislike paying money for a toy that my child is quickly bored with and I find tossed aside never to be touched again. This model set is designed for kids age 5 and up. Perfect for us! My son easily followed the pictures with very little help from me to make his first model. I noticed the instructions were clear and detailed and easy to follow along. The Cool Construction kit comes with 150 parts including colorful bricks, wheels, and other important building components. Best of all, I loved the sturdy case (with handle!) that it comes with. Easy cleanup and great for storage. at $9.99 this is a great educational toy that won’t break the bank and your kids will play with again and again.
We also reviewed the K’nex Dueling Racers, the newest K’nex product offering kids their very own motorized race cars. As the first set, this one included clear instructions to build 2 battery powered race cars at the same time. Kids can build 4 unique models in all. As with all K’nex sets, these components are compatible with all other sets. Designed for kids 7 years and up. My own personal reviewer gave the newest offerings from K’Nex 2 thumbs up!About K’nex:
“Founded in 1992, K’NEX Brands, the world’s most innovative construction toy company was established to make and sell what has become one of the world’s leading integrated construction systems for children. Winner of over 200 international awards and recognitions, K’NEX seeks to build young minds with it’s exciting product line and critically acclaimed K’NEX Education program”. Please visit K’NEX for more information and to shop for these and other great innovative products.
