Every year Betty Crocker has their Cookie Recipe Contest and every year I say I’m going to enter until I see the recipes of past winners and realize I am way out of my league. So I make the winner’s recipe and hope that some of their creative juices will flow in me with each bite. Hasn’t worked yet but I enjoy every bit of trying.

This year’s winner created Cinna-spin Cookies from one pouch of Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix and they are amazing. Here’s the recipe so you can make them yourself.

I did make Raspberry Thumbprint Cookies with a pouch of Betty Crocker sugar mix and although they were not as original of past Betty Crocker Cookie Recipe winners they were just as good.

I prepared the cookies per package instructions then made thumbprints on each cookie. I filled each cookie with seedless raspberry preserves and sprinkled with sugar.

Maybe we should have our own cookie contest for us less than creative cooks.
