I'm Michelle Cox -- the owner of Lipstick to Crayons. I’m also a Mom to three kids (a teen, tween and toddler), a professional writer (www.michellemcox.com) and a blogger (www.fromthemom.com). And I love to save money (and help you do the same) via frugal deals and steals, coupons and other thrifty practices. My freelance writing business allows me to enjoy the great balance of being a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom, while also making time for blogging, running (ran the Chicago Marathon twice) some amateur photography and scrapbooking. I’m a St. Louis native, although I have lived outside of the city and the state. A few of my passions are amateur photography, scrapbooking and attending kids' sporting events.

The eBay selling coach FREE offer

125x125sahm.gifMy sis and I have been selling on eBay for years. It’s one of the many projects we dabble in and we have made decent cash doing it. I started selling after cleaning out my kid’s closets. I had no idea that I had such a goldmine. I made $1500 in three weeks. Needless to say I was hooked.

Anyone can sell on eBay but not everyone is successful. Fortunately there are people like Suzanne Wells who has put together The Stay-at-Home Mom’s Guide to Successful eBay Selling.

According to Suzanne:

eBay selling is a WAH job that most anyone can do regardless of if she has another business, has a full time job, has children or not, or is in between jobs. eBay selling does not require special training, a college degree, complicated equipment, or an advertising budget. eBay can be used by most anyone to develop another income stream for the household. Moms in general love the idea because their kids are constantly outgrowing clothes and toys, and eBay gives them a way to recoup some of the expense of those items.

If you talk to an average person on the street, she has heard of eBay but may say something like, “Yeah, I have an XYZ that I should sell on eBay, but I haven’t looked into it.” They know eBay is there, they know it is a way to make money, but for some reason or another, they have not taken the plunge. I like to give people the encouragement, information, and support to at least try eBay and decide if it is for them.

Selling on eBay is no different that having a garage sale; it just takes a little research and planning. The benefits are far greater than having a garage sale:

1. Sales can happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, rain or shine
2. Your customer base grows to 244 million rather than a few dozen
3. You can list and sell items at your own pace on your own schedule: you don’t have to drag everything out into your driveway in one day or commit to a time schedule
4. You will make more money since customers can outbid each other and your potential customer base is 244 million
5. You will reach collectors of unique items, anywhere in the world, that would not be at your garage sale

Most everyone has “stuff” in their homes that can be sold on eBay for a profit. The problem is: many people are not aware of what they can sell, what items are profitable, or they are intimidated by the eBay process in general. My eBook helps them get started. Selling on eBay is:

1. convenient
2. relatively easy
3. safe
4. inexpensive
5. flexible
6. fun!
