How it all began for the red headed mermaid
I’m a sucker for prequels. I love reading stories or viewing movies that go back to how everything began. The book and musical of Wicked is my favorite example of going back to the beginning where we found out about the lives of the witches prior to The Wizard of Oz.
The latest prequel to hit the streets is The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning
The story takes place long before Ariel meets Prince Eric and walked on land. A time when music is banned in Atlantica and Ariel is torn betweenfamily duty and her love of music.
The movie features Ariel’s six sisters, her father, and her mother Queen Athena. My daughter’s loved finding out the mystery of her mother. The music is new and the animation is breathtaking. It’s a must for any Little Mermaid fan.
Includes fun extras such as a discovery game about Ariel’s sisters and the option to have the words to the music show on the screen so everyone can sing along.
