Lipstick to Crayons was created by two sisters “joined at the hip” despite living miles apart. Different in many ways, yet both full of an energetic drive to create, design, and start projects (and browse the internet any chance they get!). Six kids between them, yet they still yearn to maintain their “hip & stylish” former selves.

Throw an Eco-Friendly Halloween party this year

Halloween is in a few weeks, and here are some great ideas of how you can throw an eco-friendly Halloween party! Not only is better for our environment, but follows all the trends of green and sustainable products being showcased everywhere right now.

Celebrity party planner Marcy Blum has tons of suggestions to make your party environmentally conscious- from skeleton streamers, recyclable dinnerware and candles made out of soy or beeswax. Some more green ideas include:

  • Make Halloween Costumes from sustainable products (globe, crayon, ocean, butterfly, 80s singer, woodland nympth)
  • Drink Pure Teas from Bombilla, in flavors that come in Oolong, White, Green and Jasmine are the flavors. (they have 90% more antioxidants than traditional teas)

  1. Good point about the Halloween costumes; most people would be surprised how much of the increase in consumption of consumer goods around holidays like Halloween impacts the environment. If you must have a store-bought costume, or you need one last accessory to make your outfit “pop”, try a thrift store, and then sell it back when you’re finished. There are a few suggestions in the video and article on my website. Happy Halloween!
