Hot Wheels Trick Tracks and Stunts (Say that five times fast!)
Did you know that Hot Wheels have been around for 40 years? Still hot as ever and with good reason; they are inexpensive and kids love them. All four of my kids have loved playing with their Hot Wheels sets throughout the years and my son who is seven has outgrown playing with most toys but still loves to play with his cars.
Do boys ever really outgrow watching car crashes or races?
The Hot Wheels Triple Stunt Starter Set and Power Loop are perfect for those who have a need for speed.
The starter set includes track sets that can be configured in several different ways and connect to three ready-made stunts. This set can also be connected to other Trick Track stunts for on-going action-packed fun such as the Power Loop Stunt Zone. The Trick Track sets also include one car.
I didn’t find it all that complicated to put together although I did end up with a lever or two that I wasn’t sure what they were supposed to do but my son quickly figured out how to do the stunts so that the end of one stunt would trigger another. I guess all those years of playing with Hot Wheels has made him some sort of expert.
All my kids are having a good time with the Trick Tracks. The ability to change the configuration of the tracks has definitely kept them from getting bored. Their favorite stunt is the one that requires clamping (clamp included) the track to a chair or table for a downhill race. They liked seeing how high and fast they could send their car down the track.
We did have trouble with getting the power booster to complete the stunt. Most of the time our car would
jump the track. Other than that all the stunts worked like they should.
The Triple Stunt Starter Set and Power Loop are good toys for the money just be sure you have the space to set it up especially if you will be adding more Trick Tracks sets. Your kids may not mind taking it apart and putting it back together but you probably will. Having an area where you can set it up and leave it up would be ideal.
The HOT WHEELS Trick Tracks Triple Stunt Starter Set retails for just under $22 and the Mattel Hot Wheels Power Loop Stunt Zone
retails for about $26.
