Santa Launches “Operation Santa Sign” In Support Of Military Personnel & Their Families At Fisher House Foundation
The North Pole - This holiday season Santa Claus is, once again, pulling out all of the stops to support members of the military and their families. Today, Santa announced “Operation Santa Sign”, in which $2.00 from the sale of each “OFFICIAL SANTA LANDING ZONE YARD SIGN” sale made between October 1 and December 31, 2008 will be donated to the Fisher House Foundation, Inc. and their 40 military family support locations on 18 military bases and at 11 VA medical centers throughout the United States and overseas in Germany.
“Operation Santa Sign” is sponsored nationally by Your Name University - the distributor of Santa’s yard sign and other famous North Pole merchandise. Your Name University is also committed to bringing some of the holiday spirit to our military families by donating Santa Signs for display at every Fisher House location.
Fisher House Foundation is best known for the network of 40 comfort homes on the grounds of military and VA major medical centers. The houses are 5,000 to 16,000 square foot homes, with up to 21 suites, donated to the military and Department of Veterans Affairs by Fisher House Foundation. The Foundation provides support to families of patients receiving care at the nearby medical center and has ensured that families of service men and women wounded or injured in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom do not pay for their stay at a Fisher House or other base facility, if they are on a wait list.
