I'm Michelle Cox -- the owner of Lipstick to Crayons. I’m also a Mom to three kids (a teen, tween and toddler), a professional writer (www.michellemcox.com) and a blogger (www.fromthemom.com). And I love to save money (and help you do the same) via frugal deals and steals, coupons and other thrifty practices. My freelance writing business allows me to enjoy the great balance of being a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom, while also making time for blogging, running (ran the Chicago Marathon twice) some amateur photography and scrapbooking. I’m a St. Louis native, although I have lived outside of the city and the state. A few of my passions are amateur photography, scrapbooking and attending kids' sporting events.

Staples wants to make this Holiday shopping season EASY for its customers so they are giving 10,000 customers a chance to win their holiday gifts for free through their “Gift It For Free” sweepstakes.

There is one person in particular who has taken notice of this unique promotion. His name is Coach Tom. You’ll see him on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr and other Web sites this Holiday season talking about the Staples “Gift It For Free” sweepstakes. And just who is Coach Tom?

Coach Tom is the tireless champion of the “Champion.” He believes with every fiber of his being that there should only be ONE winner – on the field, in the office, in the playground, and all through life. You work hard, you try your best, and one person wins. That’s why he has such a categorical issue with the Staples Holiday Sweepstakes where 10,000 people will win their holiday gifts for FREE! If a Staples customer registers his or her receipt online at www.GiftitForFree.com, they have an excellent shot at winning their entire purchase (up to $5,000 worth!) completely for free. Coach Tom simply can’t get his head around this “everyone and anyone could be a winner” concept. He’s baffled by it. It’s not that he’s “pro-loser” by any means. It’s just that, these days, winning seems to be getting way too easy. And that just ain’t right! Today, it’s 10,000 winners at Staples. And tomorrow? One slippery slope straight down to “Participant” trophies all-around!

Coach’s Tips to Get Through the Holidays LIKE A WINNER!

  • Be a winner in the parking lot. Be aggressive. Take that parking spot before another shopper does. There are no “Mr. Nice Guys” in the winner’s circle. You don’t want to be walking long distances loaded down with gifts, do you?! Save your strength for the game.
  • Think ahead. Wrapping paper, bows, tape, those little tags that say, “To:” and “From:” You don’t want to be playing against the clock to discover you’re out of tape.
  • Put on your game face before you sit on Santa’s lap. Santa don’t want no sissies bawling in his beard.
  • Watch film. A Christmas Story, It’s a Wonderful Life, Bad Santa, Miracle on 34th Street.
  • Never fall for the head fake. When she says she doesn’t need it, she needs it. Buy lots of whatever it is.
  • Make sure you have proper equipment. Dress in warm clothing, but be sure you have full lateral movement. You may need to employ a burst of speed and be nimble. Move North to South.

We hear ya, Coach so we are offering one Omnitech Bluetooth Headset to one winner. Check out this post to enter.
