The Lipstick to Crayons sisters are always looking for good educational toys and shows that our kids will actually like. We’ve recently been introduced to WordWorld and so far it has staying power with our kids.

WordWorld is an Emmy-winning PBS KIDS television series that reaches children ages 3-5 in 22 countries internationally. WordWorld has also created a series of award-winning toys AND an interactive website. The WordWorld toy series are designed to bridge the gap between letter recognition and learning to read. Word building reinforces the pre-reading concept that letters (and their sounds) make words, and that words have real meaning…and power. WordWorld helps children get excited about reading and see words as their friends.

Reading has been a struggle for my oldest three children so I’m hoping to get a head start with reading for my preschooler. What I love about the WordWorld products is that they are colorful and use hand manipulation of the toys to help children learn. My oldest children attended a Montessori preschool and touching and manipulating objects was the most helpful with teaching them math and pre-reading.

The WordWorld Bucket Set – House comes with A to Z letter blocks and 2 buildable WordFriends. Preschoolers can build and rebuild the house scene as they learn new words and role-play with their favorite silly characters.
