WordWorld DVD GIVEAWAY
We have extended this giveaway until January 5!
A brand-new study funded by the Department of Education was just released, and concludes that WordWorld officially helps children develop pre-literacy skills. Given the Child Now study stating that only 1 in 8 children’s educational TV programs meet high quality standards, and that by the fourth grade, less than one-third of all American children are reading at or above grade level*, it’s refreshing to know that you can turn on WordWorld and it’s going to help your kids prepare for kindergarten.
WordWorld is an Emmy-winning PBS KIDS television series that reaches children ages 3-5 in 22 countries internationally. WordWorld has also created a series of award-winning toys AND an interactive website. The WordWorld toy series are designed to bridge the gap between letter recognition and learning to read.
What makes WordWorld different?
- Created in response to the National Reading Panel report, which set the standards for early literacy instruction.
- Developed in collaboration with top literacy experts from around the US
- Targets areas identified as most critical for supporting early reading success

My older son loves WordWorld. (The younger isn’t up to spelling words yet, but he’ll enjoy seeing animals on the TV screen.)
They’re all nice, but I think that The Race to Mystery Island looks the best.
