Happy New Year!

new_yearIt’s good to be back blogging again after two weeks of playing blog hookey. We were busy though, just not blogging.

Jennifer’s business is booming with huge sales of her monogrammed birthday dresses and custom tu-tus. I may be a bit biased because she’s my sis but she’s got a good gig going. Her stuff is cute! Check it out along with her huge clearance sale.

So while my sis was working her tail off I was playing Wii with my kids. My latest addiction is Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I had lots of quality bonding time with my son while playing this game.

When not playing the Wii or battling a nasty cold I was cleaning out closets and trying to get organized. This is a huge task. My closets have 10 years worth of crap that I shove in when I have nowhere else to put it. I’ve now got bags and bags of things to donate or recycle. The amount of self help books I came across is disturbing.

Have I mentioned my addictive personality?

Oh yeah, the Wii.

I digress.

Along with my cleaning I’ve decided to do some redecorating. My three year old has moved into a big girl bed so that means she needs a big girl decorated room. I’m going with the DIY surfing monkey bedding from Target. Fortunately I picked the bedding up a few months back on clearance and I have found a gal on Ebay who makes the matching decor.

I’m doing this paint by number mural on the wall.

I ordered it yesterday from Walmart.com and it already arrived today. All the other sites that sell it quote a 2 week delivery time so I was thrilled to get it so fast.

You know the author Laura Numeroff? Known for If You Take a Mouse to the Movies and If You Give a Pig a Pancake. She should write “If You Give A Mom A Chore” starring me because one chore for me always turns into other chores and projects.

In addition to redecorating my toddlers room I’m now redecorating the guest room. My current floral/country theme has to go!

Fortunately the walls are already a shade close to the fuschia color and I found some really cool chandelier wall vinyl. The question is which chandelier should I get? I can’t decide between this, this, or this.
