Personalized jewelry from Planetjill

This Christmas season I received a beautiful sterling silver necklace. While I always love to get jewelry, (who doesn’t?) this piece was something extra special. It took my breath away because there, in the charm, was a favorite photo of my son as an itty bitty baby. I’ve been wearing the necklace almost daily. And I’ve gotten a lot of compliments. Wanna see a photo of my favoritest piece of jewelry ever? Here you go!

The necklace? Is from www.planetjill.com. Planet Jill’s website offers a great description of the company, so I’m going to quote them, “Planetjill specializes in designing one-of-a-kind sterling silver or gold treasures with the faces of loved ones inside their unique charms. Each piece has a high-quality, heirloom appeal– something to cherish for a lifetime.” There’s an array of products you can tailor, from bracelets and necklaces to sweater buttons (yes, sweater buttons) and cufflinks.”

Planetjill founder Jill Schiff had been designing jewelry and was just embarking on a career in photography when she realized that she could combine these two passions. She made herself a necklace and was immediately inundated with compliments. And it just took off from there.

The necklace I received has a florally-inspired, vintage design, with oval shaped photo window. The chain is very durable and has a lobster clasp. (If you’re holding a baby or toddler, the tyke won’t be able to resist grabbing your necklace. So women who love to hold babies will appreciate this feature.) The charm is waterproof and has a nice weight to it, so your charm will stay put.

There are a ton of products to choose from. So if you prefer a simpler necklace design or love a chunkier-style bracelet, you’ve got a myriad of choices. Simply select your treasure and include your favorite photo. That’s it. They do the rest. And if you prefer gold jewelery or want to add a few diamonds? Planetjill can accommodate you. For more info, visit here.

There’s products to fit every budget. And I defy you to look at their catalog or visit their site and NOT drool. Seriously. Within 10 minutes I’d found gift ideas for my mom, my mother-in-law, my hubby an myself. (I’m pregnant now so once I can get new baby pics, Planetjill’s going to be getting a big ole’ order from me!)

Now that Christmas is finished, you’ve got to do something with all of those holiday cards, right? Why not turn a few into some instant heirlooms. Go to the Planetjill site for more ideas.
