SpongeBob & Mighty B in your kids’ Easter baskets

beeEaster’s approaching. So why don’t ya ditch the candy and fill those Easter baskets up with something that won’t give kids cavities or constipation! You know, like the “The Mighty B!: We Got the Bee” or “SpongeBob SquarePants: SpongeBob vs. the Big One.”

Mighty B centers around a little girl named Bessie Higgenbottom who is on a mission to earn every badge in Honeybee history. (Honeybee scouts are sort of like the Girl Scouts of America.) If she’s successful, according to Honeybee lore, she will become a super hero of sorts

I was pleasantly surprised by the eight episodes included on this dvd. Amy Pohler brings lots of liveliness to the role as the voice of Bessie, the quirky little girl with a big heart and boundless energy. Bessie is always willing to help others out and try new things. She is not undeterred by the clique of mean girls she often encounters. No violence. No inappropriate stuff. Just Bessie enthusiastically delving into one adventure or another.

61gripx9m1l_sl500_aa240_But if you’ve got a SpongeBob fan, you can’t go wrong with “SpongeBob SquarePants: SpongeBob vs. The Big One”, which includes six episodes of the show that aren’t on any other dvd’s… SpongeBob and company are doing what they do best.

Moms, if Johnny Depp’s voice makes you all weak in the knees? You’ll get a kick out of the first episode where he plays a surf guru. And wanna know what happens when SpongeBob goes to a tanning booth or gets a slidewhistle? There are episodes about that too.

My son loved both Dvd’s. And even though he’s candy crazy, he’d take either dvd’s of either Nickelodeon cartoon (but preferably both) over jelly beans any day! Bessie’s Dvd can be found on Amazon.com for $12.99. You can buy the SpongeBob dvd on Amazon.com for $13.99 now.
