Is KY Intense Arousal Gel intense enough?

kyMaybe you don’t take your sex seriously but KY Brand does! The makers of a myriad of personal lubricants has got a new product out on the market. And this one is aimed at heightening sexual arousal, pleasure and sensitivity. The product? K-Y Intense Arousal Gel for Her .

Apparently these people are well versed in that phrase “when mama’s not happy, ain’t nobody happy.” At least mama can find a little bit of happiness this way? Works for me!

Directions are included with the product. But the premise is pretty simple. You (or your partner) massage a small amount of the clear gel onto a certain area during foreplay. The product, which combines niacin and sensory enhancers, is supposed to make that area feel warm at first and increase sensation resulting from a more intense and pleasurable sexual experience.

According to the company’s testing, 75% of women in the consumer studies noticed a difference. While I did experience a warming effect, it was mild – not as strong as I thought it would be. Although it did leave the area slightly more sensitive, it wasn’t enough to really affect the sex.

We ended up trying the product a few times but basically, my overall experience was a bit underwhelming. I mean, it did increase sensitivity but not to a distinguishable point. Course what really gets me all revved up? Is usually the thought of my husband vaccuming or cleaning the kitchen. A girl can dream, right?

The average retail price is $24.99 for the .34 oz pump which gives you about 20 uses per package. And fear not, if you love your lube, the product can still be used with other KY products.

    Thanks for the heads up. I was interested in trying it, I have tried other similar products that have worked well and for the price (way too high!) as well as your post and the fact that only 75% of women notice something with it, I think I’ll pass. The Durex brand product called Utopia is nice, as well as a product called Extreme Pleasures that I purchased from Tasteful Treasures work well for me.
