Summer Fun & Skill Development with Hidden Object Games
It’s mid-summer and the kids are getting restless. My kids seem to think I’m the activity committe and I’m starting to run out of ideas. Fortunately we were given the opportunity to review two hidden object games for the PC.
PopCap Games is the leading developer/publisher of G-rated, family-friendly word, puzzle and action games. We are big fans of the I Spy PC games so we were excited to play the Mystery P.I. and the Amazing Adventures series.
Mystery PI: The New York Fortune New York City is about a billionaire that has passed away and left his entire fortune to his cat and dog. Our job was to find the hidden will via hidden object games and other mini-games. The graphics are nothing short of amazing and this quickly became a game for the whole family. We have spent the last few days huddled around the computer with a bowl of popcorn.
The other game is from the Amazing Adventures series and had us zooming around the world in search of pieces for a long-lost stone tablet. My kids got a geography lesson without even realizing it. That’s what I loved most about these games. They were learning about the world and asking questions as we played in addition to having fun!
