Disney Releases Tigger Movie 10th Anniversary Edition

I’ll never forget the day my first-born (now 14) came in the front door around the age of 3 and said, “Mommy, there is a man out here who knows all the words to the Tigger song and I really like him.” As you can imagine, I was out the door in a split second searching for the potential “child abductor” who was luring my baby away via the Tigger lyrics. That’s the day I met the brother of my neighbor, Uncle Jerry. It’s also the day  I learned the lyrics to the Tigger song.

Winnie the Pooh – and Tigger too — have been delighting children (mine included)  for years, and Disney just released on Aug. 4 the Tigger Movie 10th Anniversary Edition. Here are a few clips from the movie:

The Tigger Movie 2-Disc 10th Anniversary Edition, which sells for $19.49 at Amazon, tells the story of Tigger trying to find other tiggers to play with, and along the way, he discovers the true meaning of family. The set includes songs from the original movie and two new-to-DVD tigger stories. Plus, the set also includes an interactive Tigger Movie Trivia game and a Kenny Loggins Music Video, “Your Heart Will Lead You Home.”

My oldest kids both loved Tigger and Pooh,  and now we’re getting to enjoy the pair and their friends from the Hundred Acre Wood all over again through our toddler. Our whole family can recite  ”The Wonderful Thing about Tiggers,” along with a bunch of other Pooh/Tigger favorites, and I’m confident that as this movie becomes a favorite of the youngest in our family, we’ll learn many more Pooh and Tigger songs.

    I want this movie for my son. He saw a portion of the movie on disney channel and was mesmerized!

    Great review. I didn’t know they were re-releasing it, so I will have to check the stores to see if I can find it locally.
