I'm Michelle Cox -- the owner of Lipstick to Crayons. I’m also a Mom to three kids (a teen, tween and toddler), a professional writer (www.michellemcox.com) and a blogger (www.fromthemom.com). And I love to save money (and help you do the same) via frugal deals and steals, coupons and other thrifty practices. My freelance writing business allows me to enjoy the great balance of being a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom, while also making time for blogging, running (ran the Chicago Marathon twice) some amateur photography and scrapbooking. I’m a St. Louis native, although I have lived outside of the city and the state. A few of my passions are amateur photography, scrapbooking and attending kids' sporting events.

New on DVD from Disney

On Tuesday August 25h, Disney released ”The Suite Life on Deck: Anchors Away!” and “Sonny with a Chance: Sonny’s Big Break” on DVD!

suite life coverThe Suite Life On Deck story follows twin brothers Zack and Cody Martin (Dylan and Cole Sprouse) and hotel heiress London Tipton (Brenda Song) as they enroll in a semester-at-sea program aboard the SS Tipton. Much to his chagrin, dutiful hotel manager Mr. Moseby (Phill Lewis) must go aboard, too, assuming responsibility for all three. The DVD contains four episodes, including one with Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) reprising her role as Maddie from the original series, along with many bonus features!

Sonny, (Camp Rock’s Demi Lovato), is a talented Midwestern girl who relocates to Los Angeles to join the cast of the most popular sketch comedy show for teens and tweens, “So Random!” But life behind the scenes on a
Hollywood set is not as idyllic as Sonny imagined, especially because of her fellow performers: the selfabsorbed Tawni (Tiffany Thornton), suave Nico (Brandon Mychal Smith), funnyman Grady (Doug Brochu),
quirky Zora (Allisyn Ashley Arm) and dreamy Chad Dylan Cooper (Sterling Knight), star of the teen drama “Mackenzie Falls” that films in the adjacent studio, and his simmering rivalry with the cast of “So Random!”

These DVD’s suggested retail price is $19.99.
