Linens to dress your table for fall

I’ve always associated beautiful table linens with fall. Maybe it’s because my husband and I have been hosting Thanksgiving for the last several years and so I’m thinking about napkins, table cloths and runners in preparation for the big day.

But I think it’s actually more subconscious. Table linens make the dining room look cozier, which is I what I want as the weather gets colder. And as I’m layering on more clothes, it’s like I’m doing the same in my home.

Classic hotel napkins set of 6 $24

So I’ve been checking out the fall catalogs for the latest in linens and I’m so pleased with all the newest styles.

I was especially happy to see that Pottery Barn is still carrying the classic hotel napkin with monogram (see inset photo above left) that my Mom bought for me years ago. They’re my favorites and I use them for almost all my formal gatherings.

Above are some of my other favorites from shopping. From left to right, top to bottom:

  • Tropical Palm Placemat/Kaleidoscope Napkin, Crate&Barrel, $4.95-$6.95
  • Unison – Larch Table Cloth in moss, 2modern, $80-$98
  • Ophelia Runner, Crate&Barrel, $69.95
  • Black Flocked Round Damask on Ivory Taffeta Table Runner, Floratouch shop on Etsy, $15
  • Unison Martin Flint Table Linens, Design Public, $40-$54
  • Amenity Cove Table Runner – Cocoa & Silver, Design Public, $99
  • Claudia Paisley Table Runner, Pottery Barn, $49-$59
  • Velvet Ribbon Napkins, Pottery Barn, $60 for set of 6
