Custom Clothier Now Offers Some Standard Sizes

feature photo

Custom clothing is amazing. You really can’t get anything that looks or feels better than an item made JUST FOR YOUR BODY — especially when it’s made by a designer that has a love of quality fabrics and luxurious pieces.

April Marin is that kind of designer. And now, this custom clothier is offering a few items in standard sizes. I had the pleasure of trying one of these items — the KC Skirt – and it definitely has the feel of a custom piece. It’s finely sewn, beautifully cut, and made of a heavy fabric that I am loving as I show it off this season. It sits across my hips, rests flat on my tummy and the fabric that gathers and falls in the back is flattering and classy. Plus, it’s comfortable!

I plan to wear it to a few holiday functions with a white collared shirt and sassy red boots. It also works paired with a t-shirt, as you can see in the photo.

AprilMarin, a young and innovative new company in the women’s clothing market, was launched in New York, June 2007. Created out of a deeply rooted love for fashion, creators April Bukofser and Marin Milio designed AprilMarin to offer women a classic, yet contemporary line of well made high quality clothing.

AprilMarin released its winter collection last month, adding standard sizes in items like the KC Skirt. With items where a custom fit isn’t necessary, the designers put their focus on fabric and trim. And all standard size fabrics are sourced in the United States and are produced in the United States. “We know that the garment industry in the U.S. is suffering and we want to make sure the few U.S. manufacturers who are left stay alive,” says Bukofser.

Items in the winter collection range from skirts to dresses to capes and suits, with prices between $125 and $250. AprilMarin is currently available for purchase here.

The company also has a Facebook page, and they regularly post fun photos from their fashion shows and other events. I love looking at the pictures and getting fashion ideas. You should check it out and become a fan!
