Loving My New Digital Picture Frame

feature photo

I recently received the Pandigital Digital Picture Frame with Pantouch Clear technology to review, and this is one of those products my whole family is enjoying.

As soon as I received the item, I immediately (and simply) loaded the pictures from my computer onto the picture frame (which holds up to 6,400 images if they are lower resolution) and put the frame on the piano in our family room. I regularly catch the kids watching it, and we often comment on a photo that pans across the frame, reminding us of this or that special moment in time.

The frame has touch-screen navigation, can play music and videos and is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth compatible (two features I’m not using, so I can’t really comment on them). What I can tell you is that it really was a “plug and play” experience to get it to work. And you can touch anywhere on the glass of the frame to manage your photos.

Now here’s the feature that is the BEST for those of you who would like to give this as a gift to a grandparent, but are worried they won’t be able to laod it with photos:

Pandigital now works with retailers so that when you purchase the frame online, you can upload photos directly to the site and those photos are loaded onto the frame before it is shipped to the recipient! It makes the gift so personal because it will already come loaded with some of your favorite memories for your loved one.

Here’s how it works: You go to the Web site of Sears, Kohl’sor other retailers that carry the frame and purchase the Pandigital digital photo frame. There is even the option to write a personalized message that will appear when the frame is turned on, such as “Happy Holidays,” “Meet me under the misteltoe,” or simply “Happy New Year!”  Then you upload the photos you want put on the frame and provide the recipients name and address.

Now, I gotta go load some more photos onto my frame.

  1. Good for you. I have 2 digital frames gathering dust because I can’t manage to work them. I’ll have to look into the one you got. I love looking at digital pics of my kids but repeatedly loading iPhoto isn’t that efficient. Thanks, M’lou Arnett, Scerene Healthcare
