Playskool Helmet Heroes Toy Giveaway
By the time your child is five, 90 percent of his brain patterns are already formed. So learning while young is very important.
Playskool recently launched a “More Than Play” campaign, which is an educational initiative to share how play lays down important foundational skills needed for advanced learning like reading, writing, mathematics, critical problem solving, and conceptual thinking, to name just a handful.
You can learn more about child development facts and the benefits surrounding the skills associated to different Playskool toys at the Playskool More Than Play Web site. And the More Than Play campaign has developed several videos demonstrating the toys and their play benefits. Here is one for Helmet Heroes, which is the toy I’m giving away below:
You can buy Playskool Helmet Heroes here. , but one lucky Lipstick to Crayons reader can win one for free by entering the contest below.

I want to win this because it’s such a unique virtual toy. My children learned sharing and also, especially with their dolls and dollhouses, compassion and kindness.

I would love to win this for my grandson…I love how it encourages imagination, active play, listening, etc. I love to watch my grandson play with his toys…with his train table he figures different ways to put the track together; with his puzzles, he learns about spatial relationships, with his “laptop” he learns about letters and sounds, other toys help with counting skills, board games provide interaction with others, following rules and learning that you can’t always win; playing in his kitchen provides great opportunities for role play and interaction….children learn through their play and it is amazing to be able to watch.

My son would love this. He loves using his imagination. I hear him in his room talking to his toys, interacting, especially with his trains. It sparks his little imagination and he gets plenty of entertainment by role playing. We have a cape and he also “flies” through our house. He is big into imaginative play!

main entry: my only grandson who is 5yrs would love this to play & learn with, him being an only child really makes him use his imagination more so I think than those with sibblings and this would give him pure excitent from the fun of it plus learn him cooridination. And I think most of all he has learned the lesson of giving with his toys because him being an only child he is taught that as he out grows them we donate them to other kids to enjoy and he even takes part in that with heping clean them box them and deliver them to our local toy shelter. thanks

My little boy would love to add to his pretend play scenarios. He could learn what it is like to control your own car and speed. Toys allow him to explore different decision making lines and make mistakes or witness different outcomes without the real world consequences. So important to development.

My son has PDD (he is a high-functioning autistic child), and he LOVES to create! So we do crafts together, and he has lots of building block sets and the like. What he learns from creative play like this is concentration (you have to concentrate on what you’re doing to get it right), problem-solving skills (which piece goes where?) and in the end, the pride of being able to say, “I MADE that!”
