Babies, the Olympics, A Commercial Appearance & A Year’s Supply of Diapers

feature photo

Did you know that a cruising baby in one day can take as many steps as a marathon runner in a race? And a nine-month old baby can crawl up to 400 meters in 20 minutes? It’s this active play that continually inspires the Pampers brand, and now Pampers is giving babies their own gold-medal moment this Olympic season.

Pampers has completely redesigned its Cruisers diapers, making them 20 percent thinner with no sacrifice in performance. The new Pampers Cruiser with Dry Max helps lock wetness away up to 12 hours, making this their driest diaper ever. (I wonder how much sippy cups of juice that translates into?)

To celebrate the launch of these diapers (coming to shelves in March), Pampers is outfitting Team USA athletes and their families with branded Team USA Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max as they head to Vancouver for the Olympic Winter Games. These branded diapers aren’t available to the public, but parents everywhere can request a free sample three-pack of these new diapers at Pampers.com starting today (Jan. 29). If the sample sent to you includes a diaper stamped Team USA (randomly inserted in select sample packs), their baby will win a year’s supply of Pampers diapers!

These new diapers will hit the shelves in March, but before then, I will have a chance to try them out on my very active toddler (whose diaper seems to leak at least once a week), and I’ll let you know what I think of them. In the meantime, Moms and Dads are encouraged to log on to Pampers.com  to join in celebrating the development of their own best players. Parents will have the ability to upload a video of their baby crawling from left to right, and randomly selected videos will be compiled into a Pampers Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max “Baby Relay” commercial which will air during closing day of the Olympic Winter Games, giving babies a chance to showcase their own playful ability in the same forum as the most elite athletes. (Okay, now I’m jealous. I don’t think I can get my marathon-running toddler to crawl anymore. But I’m gonna try, because a spot in an Olympics commercial could launch a serious career, don’t  cha think?)

So, here are your marching orders: Go request your free sample pack and hope that one of your free diapers has the Team USA logo, take some video of your baby crawling from left to right, upload the video to Pampers.com, watch for my upcoming review of the new diapers and wait for your baby’s casting call!
