Luvs Diapers for about $3 a Pack?

feature photo

I’ve told you that I’m on a new journey to use coupons and be more frugal. I’ve been clipping coupons. I’ve got my amazing coupon binder totally organized, and I’m following the blogs of several “Coupon Queens/Frugal Divas.”

Thanks to several of these women (Money Saving Mom, The Coupon High and Deal Seeking Mom), I scored BIG TIME at Walgreens earlier this week. Using their tips and ideas for coupon stacking, I got all of the following items for $38.90, plus I received $6 in Register Rewards to use on my next purchase:

  • Two boxes of Raisen Bran Crunch cereal
  • Two Healthy Choice Steamers
  • Two boxes of quart Size Zip Lock Bags
  • Four Hershey bars
  • Two 16 oz. bottles of Coffee Mate Hazelnut Liquid Creamer
  • Two tubs of Huggies Wipes
  • Three Jumbo Packs of Huggies Little Movers Diapers, size 4
  • Two bottles of Edge Gel Shaving Cream
  • Two bottles of Pert Plus Shampoo
  • Two Sure deodorants
  • 1 12 pack of Quilted Northern
  • 1 ream of 500 sheets of copy paper for my printer

Considering that each pack of Huggies Little Movers Diapers are typically about $10 each when not on sale at Walgreens, and each tub of Huggies Wipes are almost $3 a piece when not on sale, I would have spent about $36 JUST ON THE DIAPERS AND WIPES. But by using coupons from the newspaper, and stacking them with coupons in the Walgreens ad, I got all that stuff for only $38 and some change. And if you deduct my $6 in Register Rewards, I basically got it all for $32.

I’d love to say I figured all this out on my own, but I didn’t. I am a beginner (I just started following these blogs in December and began clipping coupons in January). So, check out these blogs yourself (Money Saving Mom, The Coupon High and Deal Seeking Mom). And now check out this deal:

Keeping the Kingdom First has a scenario on her blog where you can get SEVEN jumbo packs of Luv’s diapers plus a travel case of wipes for $25.95. That’s just over $3 for each pack of diapers and that is a STEAL!! If I hadn’t just stocked up on Huggies, I’d be doing this. But, I’m hoping my 2 year old will be potty trained by the time I go through my current stash.
