Pretty in pink — even in your living room
I never would have guessed I could be seriously loving pink in interior design.
I’m not talking about a nursery or a little girl’s room or even a splash of hot pink here or there to highlight some modern space.
I’m talking pretty pastel pinks in adult spaces like living rooms and master bedrooms.
Skeptical? I understand that.
But take a look at some of these gorgeous rooms.
At right is a room I spied at BHG. These are some serious Easter egg colors, but somehow they really work. It’s a little girlie, yes. My husband would never go for it.
But it’s incredibly sophisticated and even my husband admits it looks great, even if he wouldn’t want it in our house.
The same goes with this beautiful bedroom created as part of the Lilly Pulitzer collaboration with Garnet Hill.
The green walls and white furnishings really ground this vibrant pink quilt. This would make a stunning guest room.
I also adore this sophisticated living room that I again found at BHG.
The combination of pinks and plums with the dark wood and multi-colored striped sofa seems to really bridge traditional and contemporary looks.
And I love the way the rug pulls the colors together.
So what do you think? Could you live with pink? Should anybody but a little girl live with pink? And what would the man of the house say?

I love pink! I use it in my art studio, but not a lot in the rest of the house other than buying fresh flowers in pink or some seasonal decorations.

I love that bed comforter set – does it come in black & white? the other b&w damasks I’ve seen are SO busy.
Sorry – I’ll never go pink
