Three Great Deals at Target this Week

As I journey into couponing, I’m trying to pay attention to and take advantage of some of these great deals other bloggers have discovered and shared. Today, I got $30 in Target gift cards for buying things that I was going to buy anyway (thanks to DealSeekingMom).

First, I happened to read here that Target was offering coupons for $10 gift cards to anyone who transferred or filled new prescription at their pharmacy. Then, I took my teen to the dermatologist, who wrote her two prescriptions and told me that Walmart offered at least one of these prescriptions for $4, and that I would pay about $50 at my regular pharmacy. Since I had read about the Target gift cards and I knew that Target also offers $4 prescriptions, I called the store to find out if they also offered my daughter’s medicine for the low price of $4. I found out that they had BOTH of her medicines  on the $4 list. So, I filled them both and got two $10 gift cards. But you have to have the coupon to get the $10 gift card — you can print it on the target.com Web site after registering and installing the coupon printer. It’s easy! I promise.

Then, I read  here that if I bought two $5 Axe Shower Gel Gift Sets (on sale for $5 each at Target), then I’d get a $5 gift card. And I printed this couponto get $1 off of each set, and I picked the sets that had deodorant in them, too, because my son likes the deodorant. So, I got both sets for $8, and I got a $5 gift card — meaning I got two Axe deordorants and two shower gels for $3. Great deal, considering the deordorant alone is more than $3 regular price.

Then, I saw while I was in the store that if you buy 10 Sobe Lifewaters for $10, you get another $5 gift card. So, I did that too. I like these Lifewaters, and my teen is always wanting me to buy her sports drinks and such before her swim meets, so they won’t go to waste.

After Target, I headed over to Shop n Save for $10 off $50 in groceries to round out my frugal day.
