Book of Love Stories Giveaway – Closed
I really enjoy the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and I recently got to review one full of love stories — Chicken Soup for the Soul: True Love — 101 Heartwarming and Humorous Stories about Dating, Romance, Love and Marriage.
These stories in this book are divided into these subcategories: How We Met, Adventures in Dating, Meant to Be, The Proposal, The Wedding, Keeping the Love Alive, Lessons in True Love, Happily Ever After, Gifts from the Heart, and Love Everlasting. Each story is introduced with a “love quote,” such as “Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn’t know you left open.” — John Barrymore
You can read a full description of the book here.
Now, since everyone loves a love story, I’m giving away three copies of this book. Enter the contest below:

My own favorite love story is the story between my boyfriend of 9 years and I. He happened to be a friend of my brothers who was looking for a date, as was I, so my brother told him about me and me about him. I was working at a fast food restaurant at the time and it just so happens that he came through my drive thru window one night, recognized me, and gave me his pager number. We met up a few nights later at my brother’s place and we have been together ever since.

My husband Scott has stood by me through an almost liver failure. He stood by me and helped feed me, and take care of me…for 2 weeks he almost lived in the hospital with me. He was with me through my Liver biopsy too. He also makes sure I get to the hosptial for blood test so this never happens again

There was a couple who lived near hear near the turn of the last century. They became penpals and then decided to marry, and the marriage lasted over 50 years. How sweet is that!

After living together for 10 years, my husband and I got married. A few weeks after we got married we were making supper together and laughing about something. He stopped and looked at me and said “I am so glad I married you” when I asked why is that-he said “because we enjoy each other so much” It made my heart melt!
#11 Marc on March 1, 2010:
I hate to be cliche but my fave love story is Romeo and Juliette…just the fact they would rather die than be apart, although somewhat depressing, is very romantic.
#12 Molly Krantz on March 1, 2010:
My favorite love story is the storyline from Pretty Woman.
#13 Christina on March 2, 2010:
My favorite love story is the plot of Brokedown Palace, the movie – because it’s a love story about sacrifice and friendship, not just romantic love!
#14 Amanda Barnes on March 2, 2010:
My favorite love story is my own
My boyfriend and I met 2 years ago at the college we both attend..he was my bus driver
He saw me and thought I was cute in my Pink John Deere hat and after the bus got stopped because of a freak accident with one of the passengers, he used the thirty minutes taken to wait for the police to talk to me and ask me for my number
It’s been love ever since! <3
