Potty-training Giveaway! – CLOSED

When my son (now 11) was almost 3, we were booked to go on the Disney Cruise about a month after his birthday.  To my dismay, he wasn’t potty trained yet, and kids who aren’t potty-trained don’t have as much access to the fun stuff on the Disney Cruise as those who are. We were getting down to the wire, so my mother-in-law offered to come into town and take over the project. She had him trained in less than a week and with no tears or tantrums. But no, I am not giving away a week with my mother-in-law (although I did tell her that she could make a fortune selling that service).

What I am giving away is an adorable potty chair and a set of two new books by Samantha Berger — Princess Potty and Pirate Potty.

Both books provide a helpful, step-by-step story that introduces girls and boys to the concept of toilet training. Pirate Potty is a pirate-themed, toilet-training book that is fit for the little swashbuckler in your life!  It includes a pirate’s hat and reward stickers! Princess Potty follows the same theme…a toilet-training book that is fit for the Royal Highness in your life and the book also is complete with a tiara and reward stickers! I’ve read the book several times and am preparing to stay home for a few days and try the book/reward system on my rather stubborn 2-year-old (who, I might add, tarnished my mother-in-law’s potty-training success rate over the Christmas holiday). So, I’ll have to let you know how it works for me.

    My little girl is 14 months, so we haven’t began potty training just yet. I’m hoping in a few months she’ll be ready. Right now we’re working on learning all the “potty words”. I’m also waiting until she gets to the stage where she can easily undress herself when she needs to.

    There is a reason why my son has the nickname – Raptor. Ever since he was born he has been stubborn (especially when it comes to getting him to eat or letting me change his diaper). Potty training is no different. I am up for all ideas and advice – so I think this giveaway would be perfect for me to win!

    my little man is 20 months. HE will sit on the potty sometimes and even asks to, but has only acutally gone on it about 3 times. He is so busy that he will be on the potty, then get up and leave. I would love to have a second potty for our master bathroom as mornings are hard when he sits forever and I have to get ready for work.

    Working on kid number two.. My son wasn’t too difficult (thank goodness) but now I have a chance at training/teaching my baby girl. She knows some of the basics but still doesn’t have it yet… Which means she knows the words pee, bathroom, potty, etc but getting her in and going is different…
