Easy accents for summer from Kohl’s
Typically at The Design File, you’ll find me highlighting all that’s new and fun at some independent, local store or a shop I’ve discovered while visiting another town. But on Sunday, I did some clothes shopping 
with friends at Kohl’s and made a swing through the home section to see what’s new.
I found some fantastic home accessories that would be great for bringing a little summer into your home.
I love the bright orange and white dishes and goblets at right. They’re part of the Sonoma Outdoors Pool Party Tabletop collection, with sale prices ranging from $2 to $20.
Nearby, I found more fantastic dishes meant for the outdoors. Below is the Palm Grove Outdoor Tabletop, with sale prices ranging from $2-$4.
And if you want to use your existing dishes, there are lots of ways to dress them up for summer. Check out some of these great towels, placemat and more. The Cabana kitchen towels were sale priced at $3.59 each. The Cabana table linens were sale priced at $3 to $24.
I’ve got more tabletop items to show you below, but let me take a break from for a minute to show you some beautiful bedding perfect for summer. This is the Apt. 9 Thyme collection, sale priced from $20 to $130. I really love the pillow on the right.
And how good with these pretty towels look in the bathroom attached to the bedroom above?
I also love the colors of some of these pillows and I always think stripes feel like summer.
The Santorini collection below is a nice accessories collection. It’s got candles and corals and birds – all to go along with some beautiful white platters and vases and rich blue candle holders. They’re sale priced between $4 and $24.
OK…back to the tableware. I can’t resist Fiesta ware, like the orange and yellow pieces below right. On the left are acrylic and melamine pieces from the Bobby Flay tabletop collection. They’re sale priced from about $4 to $14.50. A mix of both on a table would be fantastic.
Finally, I wanted to end up a pretty blue tabletop collection. The Santorini collection is sale priced between $4 and $24.
The thing about Kohl’s is that if you see something you like, you’d better grab it up. Seasonal items often go fast and then are gone for good!
