Lipstick to Crayons is a Web site designed to help Moms do their job more frugally and stay grounded while also juggling the many balls that all Moms must keep in the air. Dig around and you’ll find posts on frugal living, couponing, product reviews and giveaways, plus lots of stuff on fashion, shopping, parenting, traveling, kids toys, topics of interest to teens and tweens, organization, decorating and much more. From time to time, you’ll get to read something that’s along the lines of  “The World According to Me.”

I’m Michelle Cox – a Mom to three (ages 14, 11 and 2) and a professional writer and blogger – and owner/author of Lipstick to Crayons.  I’m a wife and Mom first and foremost. I’m also a former print journalist turned PR pro turned freelance writer/blogger with lots of experience (we wont’ talk years).

My freelance writing business allows me to enjoy the great balance of being a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom, while also making time for blogging, running (ran the Chicago Marathon twice) some amateur photography and scrapbooking.  I’m a St. Louis native, although I have lived outside of the city and the state.  A few of my passions are amateur photography, scrapbooking and attending swim meets.
