Mabel’s Labels Camp/School Pack Giveaway
Filed Under contest/giveaway, family life, for baby, for mom, fun stuff, paper products | 5 Comments
It is that time of year…..sending the kids off to camp and mentally preparing for back to school (which will be here before you know it!). We were recently sent a fab collection of personalized labels from Mabel’s Labels. Mabel’s sticky labels are famous the world over! They withstand the dishwasher, microwave, UV Rays and hard wearing children. I enjoyed sticking them on all my kid’s important “things” and my kid’s love seeing their names on their favorite “things”. No more lost jackets and bags- we have attached our fun “Tag-Mates” to all of our important gear. I loved how easy it was to apply the labels- simply peel off the adhesive and attach. You can find a wide variety of labels and more on their website: canister labels, labels for your spices, clothing labels, fun and creative tags for teachers, and lots more! We are excited to host a giveaway for a FREE combo camp/school pack. This pack includes 15 sticky labels, 8 shoe labels, 40 iron-on labels and 2 bag tags. Simply tell us why you should win this great giveaway in the comments section.

Orville Redenbacher popcorn bowl giveaway
Filed Under contest/giveaway, snacks/meal planning | 494 Comments
I admit it, I’m a popcorn snob and my kids are even bigger snobs. We eat a lot of popcorn which is enough to earn us the title of popcorn experts. Mostly we eat microwave popcorn just because it’s the most convenient. The more butter, the better although my kids lost the privelege of pour over butter when they wiped their greasy hands on the couch.
Orville Redenbacher is our first choice of popcorn. Not only do we prefer the taste but it consistently pops well and leaves very few kernels in the bottom of the bag. Call me crazy but it seems to leave the least amount of popcorn stuck between my teeth. That is the one thing I hate about eating popcorn so I’m loyal to any brand that doesn’t have me running to the bathroom to floss.
There are two more important reasons I prefer Orville Redenbacher to other brands.
- They offer a butter popcorn that is diacetyl free. Diacetyl is a chemical linked to a rare lung disease when inhaled. The thought of how many bags my kids have inhaled freaks me out. I have been opening all bags for them since the story hit.
- Their Smart Pop popcorn is a great choice for those dieting or looking for a healthier option without sacrificing taste. It’s 94% fat free, 100% whole grain, with zero cholesterol or trans fats per serving.
I love Orville Redenbacher’s popcorn so much that I’m giving away a popcorn bowl with 4 packages of microwave popcorn and coupons to two lucky winners. The first 10 people who comment on this post will receive a sample pack of popcorn and coupons.~Kristie

Corey’s in the house GIVEAWAY
Disney has recently released Cory In The House: Newt & Improved Edition on DVD. Cory In The House is a spin-off from “That So Raven” which happens to be one of my favorite Disney sitcoms. Cory is Raven’s brother and is living in the White House with his dad who has a chef gig for the president while Raven and their mom are off doing their own thing.Corey In The House is a laugh out loud sitcom with outrageous slapstick and my kids love it. I get a kick out of the dad who is played by Rondell Sheridan.
The DVD consists of three previously aired episodes and one never seen. My kids especially liked the bonus feature “Breakin’ Down ‘Cory in the House’” which is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Peace, Love And Misunderstanding”.~Kristie
We are giving away a copy of the Disney’s recently released Cory In The House: Newt & Improved DVD to two lucky winners.

If I could just go back in time the Minutemen way GIVEAWAY!
Have you ever wished you could go back in time and “re-do” an embarrassing moment? That is exactly what the characters do in Disney’s latest DVD release, Minutemen. Three teen boys figure out how to time travel with a combination of ordinary objects including computers, a microwave, a slide projector, and a diving board. Within a ten minute window the boys can fix their mistakes of the recent past before returning to the present.Of course their time traveling escapades aren’t without issues and each time travel puts a tear in space and a near end to the world. Predictably there is a love triangle and plenty of stereotyping and bullying of high school students that all works out in the end.
Overall Minutemen is a very entertaining flick. My kids watch it over and over and I have not minded watching it a few times myself. My husband even watched the movie to the end after our kids fell asleep after the bazillionth time watching. ~Kristie

Fancy Nancy Doll- Just the hit shelves and is ADORABLE!

The fantastically fabulous Fancy Nancy product line to arrive exclusively at Target May 2008 and we got our hands on one! Or I should say my daughters got their hands on one.I was so excited to get a Fancy Nancy doll for my youngest who has red curly hair and a love for not matching and anything sparkly just like Fancy Nancy. What I didn’t expect was for my eight year old daughter to fall in love with the doll. She has coveted her from the baby and hasn’t let her out of her arms since. She even changes her into her fancy pajamas and fuzzy slippers every night for bed!
The Fancy Nancy doll is based on the bestselling book Fancy Nancyand has been followed up with Fancy Nancy and the posh puppy
and Fancy Nancy: Bonjour Butterfly
.
Fancy Nancy, a brand/character known for its humor and warmth, encourages little girls to freely channel their own personal exuberance! Each Fancy Nancy title finds Nancy embarking on a new adventure where she always discovers that real fanciness does not depend simply on appearance, but more on a genuine joie de vivre, which is a fancy phrase for having lots of fun!
We have definitely had fun with our Fancy Nancy. What I love most about this doll is her uniqueness and her message that being fancy is really about being yourself. She does not look like your typical blonde blue-eyed doll dressed in an old fashioned dress. Fancy Nancy has vibrant red curly hair with purple streaks, stunning yellow/green eyes and her clothes are mismatched just how most preschoolers like to dress .Fancy Nancy can be found at Target along with a line of accessories and outfits. The doll is $39.99 and the outfits/accessories run between $9.99 and $24.99. Fancy Nancy is going to be THE doll to have this holiday season so get your hands on one as soon as you can! In fact one lucky reader will win one just by leaving a comment on this post.
