We were recently sent a fab collection of personalized labels from Mabel’s Labels. Mabel’s sticky labels are famous the world over! They withstand the dishwasher, microwave, UV Rays and hard wearing children. I enjoyed sticking them on all my kid’s important “things” and my kid’s love seeing their names on their favorite “things”. No more lost jackets and bags- we have attached our fun “Tag-Mates” to all of our important gear. I loved how easy it was to apply the labels- simply peel off the adhesive and attach. You can find a wide variety of labels and more on their website: canister labels, labels for your spices, clothing labels, fun and creative tags for teachers, and lots more! We are excited to host a giveaway for a FREE combo camp/school pack. This pack includes 15 sticky labels, 8 shoe labels, 40 iron-on labels and 2 bag tags. Fab Friday Green Finds
Filed Under Fab Finds Friday, bath/body products, for baby, green eco friendly finds | 1 Comment
Remember me? I’m the avocado mom who loves (part-time) cloth diapering and reusable baby wipes. Well, I’m back with a few more Fab (green) finds for you!My fave online mom shop is Honeychunks, and it’s my go-to for my cloth diapering needs. Not only does the mompreneur running the site offer Fuzzi Bunz diapers, she also makes her own reusable cloth baby wipes and foaming cleanser for baby’s bottom. Seriously, it’s like, the best one-stop shopping ever, and you don’t even have to waste any precious gas to get to and from the store!
Wait, let me back up since I may have lost you.
“Reusable what?” you ask?
Don’t worry, I’m not suggesting you re-wipe that little hiney with a dirty wipe. Rachel Mayer, owner of Honeychunks, offers eye-catching designs and plenty of fabrics to choose from for cloth wipes designed to be used and then tossed in the wash with your diapers. Simple as that.
But if you’re gonna go “green” to protect the environment and reduce waste with reusable wipes, you can’t get very far in cleaning up without the Honey Chunks Foaming Cleanser created by Mayer. The all-natural foamy organic mix is all hand-made. Simply squirt the yummy-smelling stuff to moisten the wipe, clean baby up, and toss the wipe in the wash!
And if your baby is a bit grown-up, you can still get plenty of use from the foaming cleanser and wipes when out at the park or stopping by the local ice cream shop to clean dirty faces and hands.

The Tuffet is perfect for those new sitters out there. We all know that as new sitters babies tend to fall over very quickly, so why not have them sit on a Tuffet? As the baby gets older, it makes a great cushion to sit on and read stories. The Tuffet has two pockets to store toys or books, and has two handles on either side to carry it easily.

Bonjour Bambino , “Hello Baby”, welcomes babies into the world with its whimsical baby onesie’s in multiple languages. I am in love with the Mon Petit Amour Onesie which means “My Little Love” in French. Bonjour Bambino features cute onesies in three different languages, French, Spanich and Italian. Sizes come in 0-6 months, and 6-12 months.

Pigtails Ink has the cutest wall art ever. I am in love with the girls in the bathtub wall art. All designs are printed from original drawings onto heavy weight paper with a matte finish. All art includes mat and is also available framed. Mats fit standard size frames if you choose to frame it yourself. I love that you get to pick the hair color for the little children. I have our wall art hanging in the girls bathroom, and I must say it really made it look girlie. I love it.You can also get letters wall art for either boy or girl. How fun to have a framed letter or letters of your first name. Any child will love it. These framed wall art would make a perfect baby shower gift!

“Avocado” Mom Finds
Filed Under Fab Finds Friday, for baby, green eco friendly finds, guest bloggers | 2 Comments
Let me start off with a disclaimer: I am NOT the greenest of moms. I don’t hang dry my laundry, never brush my teeth in the shower to conserve water, and frequently find myself walking back into rooms hours after I left them wondering how long the light has been left on.
So instead of calling me “green,” maybe you could call me “avocado?” It’s still a shade of green…just a bit watered-down.
Why am I mentioning all of this? Well, because I wanted to point out that you don’t exactly have to be trying to save the Amazon in order to realize the benefit of cloth-diapering, reusable baby wipes, and other such earth-friendly baby-care items.
As a freelance writer who loves the bonus of reviewing baby and mom products, I was lucky enough to learn about Fuzzi Bunz pocket-diapers when my little Buttercup was about 2 months old. From the first try, I was hooked! The patented pocket diaper is made of a water-proof outer layer and an innovative inner layer that helps keep baby’s bum dry. All you do is add the included insert to the pocket, and you are ready to roll (or crawl, as the case may be.)
Here’s the scoop: No matter how “green” (or not) you may be, the bottom line is that disposable diapers are P-R-I-C-E-Y. The average over three years of diapering that precious little baby boo-tay comes in at a whopping $2,700. YIKES! Kind of takes the sting out of the approximate $400 a set of 12 Fuzzi Bunz will cost you to do the same job for much (much) less, doesn’t it? (Major savings alert: multiply your cost savings by, like, a whole lot more if you plan to re-use your diapers for the next baby. You do the math; I’m a writer because I can’t add.)
And the cute colors ($17.95 a piece) and prints ($19.95 a piece), make it fun to diaper. Instead of covering up, it is so much more fun to show it off! Just a word of caution: Be sure to keep disposables on hand for when diaper rashes happen to occur, since it is not recommended to use any creams in the tushy area when using these diapers. Also, make sure to stay away from perfumed detergents or fabric softener when washing and drying. After that, you are pretty much good to go!
Remember how I said I was more “avocado” than a true “green”? Well, to emphasize that point just a bit more, let me propose part-time cloth diapering. (Read: using cloth at home and disposables for night-time and when out and about.) The savings are still substantial, and it’s just a bit less work for Mom and Dad.
Check out Honeychunks.com for the updated Fuzzi Bunz styles. And check back for a future Fab Finds Friday column highlighting more items from the Honeychunks shop!

I am thrilled to share our latest product review for a personalized storybook from custommadeforkids.com.I was sent The First Adventures of Incredible You which was customized by me filling out an order form that contained 17 questions. The questions are generic enough that they can pertain to just about any family but felt specific to my family when I read the finished product. It feels like the book was written just for my family with specifics such as my youngest splashing in the tub with her sister or how everyone comes running when daddy makes brownies.
I created the book for my youngest who is two. She absolutely loves the book and how could she not with such colorful illustrations and her name along with personal details written into the story?
I have given and received many personalized books over the years and must say that this is by far the best I’ve ever read. The quality of the book is superb right down to how my child’s name and other personal information is integrated into the story. It truly feels like it was written just for us.
I’m not the only parent who feels this book is the bomb. The First Adventures of Incredible You is the winner of the iParenting Media Award for Outstanding Product in the Gift category. This award winning book is the perfect gift for keepsake baby gifts, baptism gifts, birthday gifts, or holiday gifts for newborns and young children. Not only is it a great gift for children but also for grandparents and expecting parents.
Take the virtual tour yourself to see how beautifully crafted this book is.
A big thanks to custommadeforkids.com for providing us with such a treasure to review. Not your ordinary personalized storybook indeed! ~Kristie

Oopsie Dazie: Clips so cute you’ll buy outfits to match!
Filed Under accessories, for baby, gifts | 1 Comment
I have always loved accessorizing my daughters’ outfits with matching head bows and clips. Now that I have a curly red headed daughter bows and clips have become a necessity to keep her unruly hair in place.I feel that raising three hair bow wearing girls has earned me the title of Hair Accessory Connoisseur. I have learned that alligator clips and headbands are best. Bows that are attached to barrettes or clips that require two hands to put in and out snag and tangle hair. All it takes is one painful hair bow removal for your two year old to refuse ever wearing anything in her hair again. Save those types of hair bows for when your daughter is a little older!
I recently received some clips and a headband from Oopsie Dazie. The professional packaging and superb quality of what I’ve received has earned my seal of approval. Best of all, their prices are very affordable. Who wants to spend $12 on a bow that may end up lost or is only needed for a special occasion outfit? Oopsie Dazie clips are only $2 and bows are $3-$4. You can stock up on enough bows to match every outfit.
Finding the perfect clip to match an outfit is easy with Oopsie Dazie because of their large assortment of ribbon to choose from. You also can choose to embellish your clips with gems, buttons, or flower. The construction of the clips is very secure and professionally crafted. I like how the entire alligator clip is covered with ribbon so no metal is showing.
If your baby girl doesn’t have enough hair then Oopsie Dazie offers stretchy knit headbands to attach clips and bows. The headband is only $1.50 so you can afford to buy one in every color!Oopsie Dazie offers so many options that it is easy to create one of a kind clips, pony holders, or headbands. I especially love the trendy and fun fabrics they offer for their pony holders. They are truly unique pony holders.
Head over to Oopsie Dazie and let us know what you think.
